Student Employment

The University Unions employs over 70 students throughout the various employment positions. These positions include: Guest Services Associate, Events Specialist, and Building Supervisor. These students can be seen throughout the building in purple or black polos, or purple button-up shirts. If you need assistance at any point in time during your Union Experience, you can garner assistance from these students.

The University Unions staff hires students for the position of Guest Services Associate on a rolling basis.

The Guest Services Associates are responsible for ensuring that each visitor to the University Unions has an outstanding experience during their time in the facility.  Associates will actively greet and assist individuals in the Unions, answer the telephone, provide prompt and courteous customer service, respond to questions and provide thorough information regarding the Union, TCU, and the Fort Worth community.  Guest Services Associates will enforce University Unions and TCU policies and will assist staff in maintaining a safe, professional, and hospitable environment for all visitors.  Some evening and weekend availability is preferred.

Qualifications: Guest Services Associates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; general computer knowledge; the ability to interact with a diverse population; a willingness to learn; a positive attitude; and a strong work ethic.  Cash handling and previous customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
